Our Story:
My interest in electronics goes back to our family business—Holt Radio and TV—started by my grandfather as a downtown business in 1940. From there I worked at Yenney Music and Electronics in the early 80′s while in high school. I graduated from The Evergreen State College in June 1990 while working for Nordstrom in Tacoma.
I left Nordstrom to start The Other Guys in July 1993, originally as a wholesale electronics shop where customers could buy batteries, video tapes, transistors and other components. Gradually we went from electronics components to selling computer parts to do-it-yourselfers, and building custom computers. Today we offer fast and friendly service to our customers and remain the last computer service company located in downtown.
