My Story:
We are Dave and Kimberly Platt, owners of The Mailbox of Olympia. With the fantastic help of our daughters, Sydney and Mackenzie, we make The Mailbox a true family-run business.
The Mailbox originally opened in 1980, making it one of the oldest mail and parcel centers in the U.S. We purchased our store in February 2000 as a stagnant business. Since then, we have created a growing and dynamic enterprise that many fellow Olympians patronize, to our great thankfulness and pleasure.
We have built our range of services over the years and now offer bulk mailing services, copies, key duplication, money orders, greeting cars, packing and mailing supplies, and many other services.
Keeping our business as green as possible is very important to us. We accept used packing materials from the public so we can use them again, and help keep them out of the landfills. Also, we do our best to keep money circulating in our downtown. As many other small business owners patronize us, we also patronize them, not only because of their wonderful customer service and products, but because we love to help others like us, in our amazing downtown.
