I once did a ventriloquist act at the Christian Magician’s Association (in a Billy Sunday Tabernacle, no less).
My Story:
My wife, Kim, and I grew up in Iowa then, like modern day Okies, we settled in California. My wife and I had honeymooned in the San Juans and fell in love with Washington. I was lucky to find an employer who would let me work for their California company but live in Olympia. My spouse continued with her career as an accountant. After several years of working for the government, we opened Furniture Works because we wanted to have a business that would be good for us and good for the town (and support our ethic of recycle and reuse).
What I Love About Olympia:
Olympia uniquely combines a small town atmosphere and convenience with big city sophistication. Olympians are an amazingly diverse and interesting bunch of folks.
